The Company’s 20 operations are located in 10 countries (Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Ghana, Guinea, Mali, Namibia, South Africa, Tanzania and the United States of America), and are supported by exploration activities.

Its ore reserves amounted to 73.1 million ounces as of December 31, 2007. Its main product is gold. Revenue is also derived from the sales of silver and uranium oxide. AngloGold Ashanti sells its products on world markets. In December 2008, AngloGold Ashanti completed the purchase of Sao Bento Gold Company Limited and its wholly owned subsidiary, Sao Bento Mineracao S.A., from Eldorado Gold Corporation.
